This weekend we get to celebrate Father's Day. It's an opportunity for many to spend time with their greatest inspirations. We also know Father's Day can be a day to remember those role models who are no longer with us, and if that's the case for you, may the holiday provide time to reflect on favorite memories.

When I think of Father's Day I usually think of throwing some food on the grill and most importantly, getting to enjoy some quality time with family.

My wife and I routinely seem to have a pretty hectic calendar, and this Father's Day will be no exception as it's filled with multiple events involving family. We'll start out with a lunch with my wife's family to celebrate my father-in-law, and then go on to a soccer doubleheader.

Following soccer, I get to play softball with my dad which is one of my favorite activities. He actually hit a home run in last week's game. He's 56 and still putting them out of the park. It went so far it made me immediately feel like I needed to hit the weight room.

The extravaganza will then commence with a dinner with my parents that I would be willing to bet will consist of pizza as that's really the greatest gift a person can give my father.

It will be a lot of fun, and I know I'm so fortunate to be able to have the opportunity to celebrate with each side of the family.

Whether you celebrate with a game, a cookout, or another way, spend some quality time with your role models this weekend and find inspiration from them.
