On behalf of all of us here at Presper Financial Architects, I’d like to wish you a happy 4th of July! 

Although this year looks very different from years past, we do hope you still find ways to celebrate the holiday with loved ones.

I’m sure many of you have holiday traditions you look forward to, and I wanted to take this opportunity to share one of my wife’s family traditions that takes place during this weekend. For many years on each of the “long” weekends in the summer (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day) her family has “camping weekend.” Camping weekend used to involve going to an actual campground, but as everyone got busy there was a need to be a bit closer to home, so now it involves tent camping in her parents’ backyard. The weekends typically consist of boating on West Branch, having large groups over for bonfires each night (which looks different this year), wonderful meals, and of course a game of family putt putt that mirrors the intensity of The Masters. (Yes, I am the reigning champion, so I have to live it up while I can!) 

These weekends always end up being a great time together and we look forward to them all year long. It’s a great tradition that we hope to continue for many years to come!
